Card Notes
The Weiss Schwarz Disney100 set marked a significant collaboration between the Japanese trading card game and Disney's centennial celebration in 2023. This release combined Weiss Schwarz's established mechanics with Disney's expansive character catalog, appealing to both longtime TCG players and Disney enthusiasts. Japanese anime and TCG communities embraced the set as a meaningful way to honor Disney's cultural impact through the lens of one of Japan's most popular card games. Card 87, "Someday Happily Ever After…," captures the optimistic spirit central to Disney storytelling. The artwork and title evoke themes of hope and transformation that define the Disney fairy tale experience. Collectors are drawn to cards like this for their blend of nostalgic Disney imagery and the aesthetic appeal of Japanese card design, making them popular across both anime and Disney collecting communities.
