EX Unseen Forces arrived in 2005 as one of Pokémon's later EX-era sets, maintaining the era's focus on powerful holographic cards and competitive playability. The set continued the trading card game's evolution during a period when the hobby was firmly established among collectors and players alike. This era remains beloved for its striking visual design and the balance between casual appeal and serious gameplay considerations. Unown W showcases the mysterious Psychic-type Pokémon in its alphabet variation form. Collectors appreciate the Unown cards from this set for their unique appeal—each letter variant creates collecting opportunities beyond typical Pokédex completion. The "W" specifically draws interest as part of the broader Unown alphabet pursuit that appeals to both Pokémon enthusiasts and those seeking complete alphabet collections.
