Delta Species debuted in 2005 as one of the Pokemon TCG's most experimental sets, introducing dual-type Pokemon with mechanics that challenged the established format. The set represented a creative peak for the e-card era, blending innovative gameplay with striking artwork that reimagined classic Pokemon through unconventional type combinations. Collectors value Delta Species for its forward-thinking design philosophy and the aesthetic risks it took. Bagon appears here as a Fire and Metal-type hybrid, a pairing that offers an intriguing counterpoint to its canonical Dragon lineage. The card captures the young pseudo-legendary in a dynamic pose, appealing to collectors drawn to both the Delta Species aesthetic and Bagon's enduring popularity as an early-stage Dragon-type. This combination of creature and set significance makes it a natural inclusion for enthusiasts building comprehensive Delta Species collections.
