Dragon Frontiers arrived in 2006 as one of the final EX-era sets before the game shifted toward its Diamond & Pearl generation. The set celebrated Dragon-type Pokémon with a focus on evolution lines and powerful Stage 2 creatures, making it memorable for players seeking competitive Dragon decks and collectors drawn to the compelling dragon mythology woven throughout the release. Shelgon represents the crucial middle evolution of Bagon's line, captured here in dynamic artwork that emphasizes its transitional nature between the small dragon and the mighty Salamence. Collectors appreciate this card for completing the evolution family and for its striking visual presentation of the Pokémon mid-transformation.
