Upper Deck Marvel Masterpieces Gold Signature Series represented a premium entry in the early 2020s collecting landscape, targeting enthusiasts seeking high-quality Marvel character artwork. The set emphasized artistic presentation alongside collectibility, with gold signature variants adding an extra layer of prestige. These releases bridged traditional trading card appeal with fine art sensibilities during a period of renewed interest in Marvel properties across multiple media formats. Dagger, the street-level Marvel character known for her light-based powers, appears as card 20 in this series. The artwork captures her distinctive visual identity and complements the set's focus on character-driven illustration. Collectors are drawn to complete character runs across themed sets and appreciate seeing lesser-known heroes receive quality artistic treatment alongside more prominent figures.
