Upper Deck Marvel Masterpieces brought fine art sensibilities to comic book trading cards, elevating the medium during a period of explosive growth in collectible card games. The 2022 release represented a continuation of the line's commitment to showcasing iconic characters through painted artwork rather than photography, appealing to collectors who valued gallery-quality presentation alongside their Marvel fandom. Shuri, the brilliant technological innovator and princess of Wakanda, appears here as card 46 in this series. Her character resonates strongly with modern collectors, particularly following her prominent role in Marvel's films. This card captures her intelligence and significance within the MCU, making it a natural draw for both character enthusiasts and fans of the Masterpieces aesthetic.
