# Card Notes Mattel's 2023 UNO Marvel collaboration brought the iconic card game into the collector's world, merging the strategic simplicity of UNO with Marvel's vast character roster. Released during a period of renewed interest in non-traditional trading products, this set captured collectors seeking fresh ways to engage with superhero IP beyond conventional card games. The partnership represented a notable crossover moment when established toy and game brands began embracing the collector community's appetite for novelty and licensing variety. Black Cat appears in this set as a classic Spider-Man character, known for her complex relationship with the wall-crawler and her role in New York's vigilante underworld. Her inclusion reflects the set's commitment to drawing from Spider-Man's rich supporting cast rather than focusing solely on primary heroes. Collectors of Spider-Man variants, character completionists, and those building comprehensive Marvel UNO collections seek out this card to round out their holdings from the yellow subset.
