Neo Genesis marked a pivotal moment in Pokémon's trading card history as the first Japanese set to release simultaneously in English, signaling the franchise's commitment to the Western market. Released in 2000, it captured the explosion of Pokémon fever at its peak and remains one of the most beloved vintage sets among collectors. The set's popularity has endured for over two decades, making high-quality copies particularly sought after today. Girafarig, the long-necked psychic-type, appears here with striking artwork that exemplifies Neo Genesis's distinctive visual style. This card represents a creature many players encountered during the original Game Boy adventures, giving it nostalgic appeal for those who grew up with Pokémon. Collectors appreciate 1st Edition copies as markers of the set's initial print run and the formative era of English-language Pokémon cards.
