Neo Genesis marked Pokemon's triumphant return to the Trading Card Game after the original Base Set's massive success. Released in 2000, this set introduced the second generation of Pokemon alongside beloved characters like Lugia and Ho-Oh. Neo Genesis established the modern TCG's template for expansions, blending nostalgia with fresh design and capturing the hobby during its explosive growth period. Chinchou, the electric-water angler fish Pokemon, appears here in its classic first edition form. The card showcases appealing artwork that captures the species' unique charm and bioluminescent qualities. Collectors seek early Neo Genesis cards for their historical significance and the quality of their design, making this Chinchou a solid addition to any collection from this formative era.
