Neo Genesis arrived in 2000 as the first set of the Johto era, expanding the Pokemon TCG beyond the original 151. This set introduced beloved Generation II creatures and marked a shift toward the Pokedex's growing roster. Collectors regard Neo Genesis highly for bridging the classic base set nostalgia with fresh characters, making 1st Edition copies particularly sought after by those building comprehensive early-era collections. Ledian, the evolved form of Ledyba, appears here as a Stage 1 Pokémon card featuring the bug-type's distinctive ladybug design. Collectors appreciate Ledian for its role in the expanding dex and its place within Neo Genesis's lineup. The card represents the era when early evolution lines were thoughtfully illustrated and integrated into the competitive and casual metagame alike.
