Neo Genesis represents Pokemon's second Japanese set translated into English, arriving in 2000 as the TCG remained a cultural phenomenon. Released during the franchise's peak popularity, this set introduced beloved creatures from Generation II while maintaining the artistic quality that defined early Pokemon cards. Collectors remember Neo Genesis as a bridge between Base Set nostalgia and the expanding universe of Johto region Pokemon, making it a cornerstone of vintage collection-building. Lanturn, a dual Electric and Water-type from the Whirl Islands, appears here with striking underwater artwork capturing the bioluminescent charm that defines this deep-sea Pokemon. Its relative rarity and the appealing illustration make it a sought-after addition for collectors pursuing complete Neo Genesis sets or those focusing on Water-type Pokemon from the era.
