Neo Genesis marked Pokemon's triumphant return to the Trading Card Game after a hiatus, launching in December 2000 with renewed collector enthusiasm. This set reintroduced beloved characters and mechanics while establishing the aesthetic that would define the early 2000s Pokemon card era. Neo Genesis remains a cornerstone of vintage Pokemon collecting, representing a pivotal moment when the hobby was rebuilding its foundations. Professor Elm is a Trainer card featuring the beloved Johto region mentor, recognizable to fans of Pokemon Gold and Silver. Trainer cards from this era are sought by players and collectors alike for their utility and nostalgic artwork. Elm's availability and playability made copies like this one central to deck-building during the Neo Genesis format.
