Shining Fates arrived in early 2021 as a beloved expansion focused entirely on Shiny Pokémon, capturing collector enthusiasm at a moment when the hobby was experiencing remarkable growth. The set's appeal lay in its beautiful full-art designs and the nostalgia of hunting for rare shinies—a core element of the games themselves. Shining Fates became one of the most sought-after modern sets, defining an era of accessible yet collectible Pokémon cards. Galarian Darmanitan represents the Shiny Vault's appeal: a striking alternate-color Pokémon rendered in this set's signature clean, dynamic art style. The ice-type transformation of the Galar region's Darmanitan caught collectors' attention both as a competitive Pokémon and as a visually compelling card, making it a natural target for enthusiasts building complete Shiny Vault collections.
