# Card Notes The 2025 One Piece Promotional Card Set marked an exciting moment for the trading card game as the franchise continued its global expansion. Japanese promotional releases have long served as early access points for collectors, offering exclusive artwork and limited availability that distinguish them from standard releases. These cards often become cornerstones of comprehensive collections, valued for their regional exclusivity and role in documenting the game's evolving design philosophy. Shanks as a subject carries particular weight within the One Piece universe, representing one of the story's most pivotal and mysterious figures. This promotional iteration captures a character central to the narrative's foundation, making it especially desirable for fans building thematic collections or pursuing complete promotional sets. The card's Japanese origin adds an additional layer of appeal for collectors prioritizing international variants.
