Signature comparison
This card. The signature as cropped from the slab photo (front).
Below, the known examples Crown compared it with. Examples with stronger proof (signed in front of staff, or certified by an independent authenticator) carry the most weight.
Feature by feature
| Feature | This card | Known examples | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Overall form and proportions | Large looped 'E', a compressed 'ric' run, then a large oval loop overlapping the end of the given name, finishing in a horizontal tail to the right. Wide and short. | R1, R2, R3, R5 and R8 all show the same architecture: a dominant initial 'E', a small middle run and a big oval or 'Q'-like loop for the surname, ending in a long tail. R4, a One Piece card, is nearly identical in proportion. | Match |
| Slant and baseline | Mild rightward slant. Baseline roughly horizontal with a slight rise into the loop. | Mild right slant and horizontal-to-rising baseline in R1, R2, R4, R5 and R8. | Match |
| Letter construction ('E') | 'E' built from a looping entry stroke with stacked lobes, the lower lobe extending left. | Same multi-lobed, cursive 'E' in R2, R4, R5 and R8. R7 shows a more legible variant of the same construction. | Match |
| Connecting strokes | 'E' runs directly into small, partly illegible minuscules, which connect into the large surname loop. | Same continuous connection in R1, R4, R5 and R8. Legibility of the middle letters varies by speed and surface. | Natural variation |
| Starting and ending strokes | Starts with a lead-in on the 'E'. Ends in a long horizontal tail that appears to taper. | Long tapered terminal tail in R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R8. | Match |
| Line quality and speed | Fluid, confident curves. No visible tremor, hesitation or blunt stops at this resolution. | Fast, fluid execution across the authenticated and slabbed references (R5, R8) and the listing references. | Match |
| Pen pressure pattern | Broad black marker with fairly even width. Slight lightening is possible at the tail, but resolution limits assessment. | Paint pens and markers in the references also show fairly even width. Pressure variation is hard to read on all of them. | Not assessable |
| Spacing | Tight spacing between 'E' and the minuscules. The surname loop overlaps the given name. | Same overlap and compression in R4, R5 and R8. | Match |
| Flourishes and inscriptions | Small red hand-drawn hearts around the signature. An apparent red 'Luffy' inscription above the signature, partly lost against the red artwork. | Hearts accompany the signature in R5 and R6. A character-name inscription appears in R5, R6 ('EEVEE'), R7 ('Luffy') and R8 ('DITTO'). | Match |
| Placement and size | Across the lower text box and art of the card, sized to the available space. | Card references R4, R5 and R8 are placed over art or text boxes in the same manner. | Match |
Examiner notes
Our card is a 2025 One Piece 3rd Anniversary promo, so the signature can be no earlier than 2025. All references appear to be modern convention-circuit autographs from roughly 2020 to 2025: Funko Pops, a Shining Fates Ditto from 2021 onward, One Piece cards and a figure. They are effectively the same era as ours. Her current form is a stylized 'E', a compressed small-letter run, a large oval loop and a long rightward tail, and it appears stable across this period, so era drift is not a significant factor.
How Crown authenticates autographs: the signature is compared with known examples gathered from Crown's own authenticated cards, independent authenticators and public listings, measured by software, examined by an AI forensic model, and signed off by Crown Grading staff. The decision above is Crown's.
