The Lime Rock MAD Series 1 set emerged in 1992 as a notable entry in the trading card market's experimental phase. Released during an era when manufacturers were testing diverse themes and production methods, this set reflected collectors' growing appetite for unconventional subjects beyond traditional sports and entertainment. Series 1 established the foundation for what would become a distinctive franchise, capturing the aesthetic and sensibility of early nineties card culture. Card 129 features September imagery that grounds the set's broader concept in seasonal specificity. The artwork and subject matter exemplify why collectors return to this series—each card functions as a small window into a particular moment or theme, inviting both casual appreciation and deeper engagement with the set's artistic vision.
