# Card Notes The 1999 Inkworks Elvis: The Platinum Collection set represents a pivotal moment when trading cards expanded beyond sports into music and entertainment memorabilia. Released during the resurgence of Elvis collecting in the late 1990s, Inkworks brought glossy photography and premium production values to non-sports cards. The promo cards in this series, distributed through hobby channels, became instantly sought after for their limited availability and served as introduction pieces for collectors exploring entertainment card collecting. Promo card P3 features iconic imagery of Elvis that captures his enduring mystique. Collectors are drawn to promotional cards from this era for their scarcity relative to base set issues and their role as gateways into a complete collection. This card remains a recognizable touchstone for both Elvis enthusiasts and those exploring the broader landscape of 1990s entertainment card production.
