Shiny Treasure ex arrived during the peak of Japanese Pokémon TCG collecting, when reverse holographics and secret rares dominated the secondary market. Released in 2023, this set captured trainers' attention with its showcase of visually striking alternate art treatments and full-art cards. The set exemplified the era's focus on premium presentation and collectible variants that appealed to both players and collectors seeking gallery-worthy pieces. Sprigatito, the Grass-type starter from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, appears here in reverse holographic form with the shimmering effect that defines this treatment. Collectors appreciate this card as both an appealing interpretation of the popular starter and as a foundational example of modern Japanese set design, where even non-secret rares receive distinctive visual treatments worth pursuing.
