Shiny Treasure ex arrived in 2023 as one of Japanese Pokémon TCG's most celebrated special sets, featuring enhanced artwork and premium production quality that appealed to both collectors and players. The set's emphasis on alternate art treatments and shiny Pokémon variants made it a landmark release during the modern era's push toward visually distinctive cards that justify premium pricing and collector investment. Dolliv's reverse holo treatment showcases the grass-type Pokémon with the refined illustrative style characteristic of this set. Collectors appreciate these smaller evolutionary stage cards for their artwork quality and the challenge of completing full shiny collections, where even supporting Pokémon command serious attention from dedicated enthusiasts.
