Shiny Treasure ex arrived during a golden period for Japanese Pokémon TCG, when reverse holos had regained collector favor. The set balanced accessibility with chase cards, making it notable for bringing fresh energy to mid-2023 releases. Japanese sets of this era reflected growing demand for alternative finishes and artful presentation, establishing templates that would define collecting trends through the year's end. Lechonk, the adorable pig Pokémon introduced in Generation IX, captures what draws collectors to newer sets: charming creatures rendered with vibrant reverse holo sparkle. Its approachable nature and small size make it a gateway card for many, while the reverse holo treatment elevates it beyond standard printings.
