Topps Garbage Pail Kids returned to retail prominence in 2016 with the America's Pastimes Sticker set, a nostalgic homage to the brand's 1980s heyday. The release capitalized on renewed collector interest in GPK's satirical humor and irreverent parody format. Sticker sets like this one offered affordable entry points for both vintage enthusiasts and new generations discovering the brand's offbeat appeal and cultural commentary. Richie Retch exemplifies the series' signature style: a crude parody of a familiar concept with deliberately gross-out humor. The character's simple but memorable design makes it an accessible entry for collectors building GPK collections, whether seeking specific characters or exploring the broader 2016 set. These standalone sticker cards remain popular for display and trading among fans of the brand's absurdist sensibility.
