Impel's 1991 Disney Collector Card set represents an interesting crossroads in trading card history, when the industry was expanding rapidly beyond sports into entertainment properties. Disney's vast character catalog made for a natural fit, and these cards captured the early-90s enthusiasm for collectible cards across multiple genres. The set remains a nostalgic touchstone for collectors who remember this era of experimentation and growth. This particular card features Pete, one of Disney's classic characters with a long history in animation. Pete's gruff personality and comic timing made him memorable across decades of shorts and features, and his inclusion in this set appeals to both Disney enthusiasts and those collecting character-focused releases from this formative period.
