The 2021 Topps Garbage Pail Kids Mico Collection represents a notable intersection of nostalgia and modern collecting. Garbage Pail Kids experienced a significant revival in the 2010s as millennial collectors reconnected with the brand, and Topps' micro-sized release captured that renewed enthusiasm while introducing the property to digital-age audiences. This set bridged the satirical irreverence of the original 1980s line with contemporary production values and collector appeal. Evil Eddie, the #1a card, opens the set with characteristic Garbage Pail Kids dark humor and creative artwork. As the first card in the collection, it carries natural significance for set builders, while its particular subject matter and visual design have made it a standout among enthusiasts. Collectors gravitate toward early numbers and inaugural releases, making this card's position particularly desirable within the broader collecting community.
