Comic Images' 1991 Incredible Hulk set captured the character's enduring appeal during a period when Marvel cards experienced renewed collector interest. These non-sport cards celebrated the Hulk's rogues' gallery and supporting cast, offering fans an accessible way to engage with the character beyond monthly issues. The early 1990s marked a transitional moment in card collecting, bridging traditional superhero card offerings with the speculative boom that would follow. Madman represents one of the set's villain cards, featuring artwork that brings the character's chaotic energy to life. Collectors of Marvel antagonists and Hulk-specific collections seek out cards like this one to build comprehensive character rosters, appreciating both the artistic interpretation and the character's role in Hulk mythology.
