Card Notes
Comic Images released The Incredible Hulk trading card series in 1991, capturing the popular Marvel character during a golden age of comic book card collecting. The early 1990s saw explosive growth in the trading card hobby beyond sports, with entertainment properties driving new collector enthusiasm. This set represents that pivotal moment when superhero cards gained mainstream traction alongside baseball and basketball products. Pyro appears here as card 15, featuring the lesser-known Marvel antagonist. The series artwork brings these characters to vivid life, and completing a full set of Hulk-related characters and villains appealed to both comic fans and serious collectors building comprehensive runs from the era.
