Comic Images' 1991 Incredible Hulk set arrived during the trading card boom when non-sports cards flourished alongside their sports counterparts. This Marvel-licensed release captured the character's rich comic book history through illustrated cards, appealing to both comic readers and collectors exploring the expanding universe of licensed card products. The set represents a transitional moment when character-driven card series thrived in the pre-internet hobby. Commando presents a dynamic action-focused subject that exemplifies the set's visual storytelling approach. The card's artwork emphasizes movement and conflict, drawing collectors interested in Hulk's adversarial encounters and the broader Marvel Universe depicted across the series. Character and villain cards from this era remain popular with fans seeking visual representations of the comics they loved.
