Comic Images' 1991 Incredible Hulk set arrived during the early boom of non-sports trading cards, when publishers eagerly capitalized on comic book properties beyond traditional sports offerings. These colorful, accessible releases helped broaden the hobby's appeal and remain nostalgic touchstones for collectors who discovered cards through Marvel characters rather than athletes. Prometheus appears in this set as one of the Hulk's formidable adversaries from Marvel lore. Collectors appreciate cards featuring the rogues' gallery alongside heroes, as they complete the narrative landscape of these early 90s releases and offer visual variety that celebrates the broader Marvel universe beyond Bruce Banner himself.
