Comic Images released The Incredible Hulk set in 1991 during the early boom of non-sports card collecting. This series captured the character's rich comic book history through artwork and imagery, appealing to both Hulk enthusiasts and collectors building comprehensive sets. The early 1990s saw explosive growth in trading cards beyond sports, and releases like this one became foundational to modern pop culture collecting. Card 90 is a checklist card, a traditional inclusion in trading card sets that helped collectors track which cards they'd obtained. Checklist cards often feature artwork or character highlights and serve as practical tools within the set structure. These cards remain sought after by collectors pursuing complete set runs and those interested in preserving the full collecting experience as originally released.
