FILM NOTES

Released in 2002, Attack of the Clones was the second chapter in George Lucas's prequel trilogy and marked a turning point in filmmaking history. It was among the first major motion pictures shot almost entirely with digital cinematography, a bold technical gamble that helped push Hollywood toward the digital age. For a generation of fans, it deepened the mythology of the galaxy far, far away while bridging the eras of a beloved saga.

At the heart of this film is the developing relationship between Padmé and Anakin, a romance shadowed by the story's larger tragedy to come. Owning a physical 35mm cell from this thread lets you hold a tangible fragment of that story, a small piece of light that once passed through a projector.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
