FILM NOTES

Released in 2002, Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones arrived at a pivotal moment for the franchise and for cinema itself. As the second chapter of George Lucas's prequel trilogy, it pushed the boundaries of digital filmmaking, being shot largely on high-definition digital cameras rather than traditional film. It deepened the saga's political intrigue while charting the early path of Anakin Skywalker, a story audiences already knew would end in shadow.

This cell captures the romance between Padmé and Anakin, a tender turning point in their doomed relationship. To hold a physical frame from this moment is to own a tangible piece of that unfolding tragedy, a small window onto a story generations have carried with them.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
