Printed or copied?
There is no sign of a printed facsimile in the photo. The signature is not a duplicate of any reference: entry hook, terminal mark and underline all differ while the overall structure stays the same, which is what repeated hand signing looks like rather than a stamp or print. No dot or halftone pattern is visible in the strokes at this resolution. Because every card in this run carries an autograph in the same spot, whether the ink sits on top of the gloss or under it can only be confirmed under a loupe.
Decision
Authenticated by Crown Grading after staff review.

Feature by feature

FeatureThis cardKnown examplesResult
Overall form and proportionsSmall '4'/Y-like lead mark, then a large open U-shaped capital. 'ODIE' is set small and on a diagonal inside it, then 'WA' with a large right-hand oval, a small 'Y/5' at upper right, and a long diagonal underline. Height-to-width is 0.819.Every reference shows the same layout: lead mark, large U capital, diagonal small 'ODIE', 'WA' plus large oval, top-right terminal mark and diagonal underline. Measured height-to-width runs 0.747 to 0.889.Match
Slant and baselineUpright strokes lean left at -10.6°. The 'ODIE' and 'WA' blocks climb diagonally up and to the right.Slant runs -11.0 to -0.7°, average -6.83°. The same rising diagonal of the inner letters appears in R1-R8.Natural variation
Letter constructionThe capital opens with a small hooked 'a'/c-like entry before the U. 'O-D-I-E' are small separated print forms. 'W' is angular, with 'A' or a 4-like form next to it.Entry forms vary across the set: R1 and R3 use a tight hook, while R2, R6 and R7 use an open '4'. Inner letters are built the same small, disconnected way throughout.Natural variation
Connecting strokesMostly disconnected print. The large ovals enclose the inner letters rather than joining them.Same disconnected, enclosing structure in all references.Match
Starting and ending strokesThe underline starts lower left and finishes in a tapered upper-right exit. The top-right terminal mark is a small quick figure.Underlines taper the same way (R1, R3, R4). The top-right terminal mark varies from a 'Y' to a small 'v' or '5' shape.Match
Line quality and speedLarge ovals look fluid and continuous, with no visible tremor or hesitation at this resolution. Strokes taper rather than ending bluntly.Fluid, fast ovals with tapered ends in R1-R4.Match
Pen pressure patternThickness varies modestly along the strokes (0.435, photo-sensitive).Thickness variation 0.436 to 0.483 across the measured references.Match
SpacingInner letters are tightly packed inside the large loops. 'WA' sits just below 'ODIE'.Same tight internal spacing; R5-R8 are slightly more compressed.Natural variation
Flourishes and underlinesOne long diagonal underline.Single underline in R1, R3 and R4. Double or multiple underline strokes in R2, R6 and R8.Natural variation
Placement and sizeLower right of the card, over the fur belt, blue pants and lightning, ending above the flames. It takes up roughly a third of the card width. The same placement zone and similar size in every reference.Match
Reproduction indicatorsOur signature differs in detail from each reference (entry hook, terminal mark, underline count). No halftone pattern is visible in the ink at this resolution.References also differ from one another, as hand-signed copies of the same card would. Not assessable

Measurements

Software traced the ink and measured it against the known examples. The shaded band is the signer's normal range across those examples; the gold marker is this card.

The two measurements that count toward the decision are the lean of the upright strokes and the signature's height-to-width shape. Ours leans -10.6°, against references ranging from -11.0° to -0.7°. Its height-to-width ratio is 0.819, almost exactly the reference average of 0.81. Both sit comfortably within how much YodieWay's own signatures vary. The photo-sensitive figures (ink travel, stroke thickness variation, closed loops and separate strokes) also fall within the reference range, though they are not used in the call. Taken together, the numbers support authenticating this signature, but they confirm shape and proportion only and cannot by themselves prove live ink.

Examiner notes

Our card is the 2026 WhatNot Streamer YodieWay - Auto #0, serial 000062467. All eight references are the same card design, Crown-authenticated, with serials 000050495 to 000065297, so they come from the same short signing period as ours. Era drift is not a factor, and the references directly show this signer's range on this exact surface and placement. The references do not state whether the signings were staff-witnessed, so they are weighted as Crown-reviewed references rather than witnessed provenance.

How Crown authenticates autographs: the signature is compared with known examples gathered from Crown's own authenticated cards, independent authenticators and public listings, measured by software, examined by an AI forensic model, and signed off by Crown Grading staff. The decision above is Crown's.
