Titanic was produced by Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox and released in December 1997. Directed by James Cameron, the film became the highest-grossing motion picture of its time and won eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture. It represented a turning point in large-scale Hollywood production, combining practical filmmaking with emerging digital effects to tell the story of the 1912 maritime disaster.
This cell captures three frames from the opening title sequence, each displaying the Leonardo DiCaprio credit in clean typography against a black field, with faint underwater imagery visible beneath. The rightmost frame is a partial, showing the card at the edge of the strip. Together the frames document a quiet, deliberate moment from one of cinema's most significant closing-decade productions.
