FILM NOTES

Titanic was produced by Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox and released in December 1997. Directed by James Cameron, it became the highest-grossing film of its time and won eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The production was a landmark in both practical and digital filmmaking, and its romantic narrative made it a defining cultural moment of the late 1990s.

This cell, titled Jack and Rose, captures three consecutive 35mm frames from what appears to be an intimate close two-shot, the two figures drawn together under warm amber light. Curly hair is visible on the lower figure, and a white garment appears in the upper portion of the frame. The repeated composition across all three frames suggests a held moment of stillness within the sequence.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
