FILM NOTES

Titanic was produced by Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox and released in December 1997. Directed by James Cameron, the film became a defining cultural and cinematic event of its era, blending a fictional romance with the true story of the 1912 maritime disaster. Its unprecedented production scale, groundbreaking visual effects, and record-breaking box office performance made it one of the most significant films of the decade, earning eleven Academy Awards including Best Picture.

This cell, titled Titanic Wreck, captures frames from the film's haunting underwater sequences depicting the sunken hull of the ship. The imagery is characteristically dark, with amber and gold illumination suggesting submersible lighting playing across the vessel's deteriorated structure against a near-black background. A faint oval light reflection appears in the adjacent frame, adding to the eerie stillness that Cameron used to establish the wreck as both monument and grave.
