FILM NOTES

Titanic was produced by Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox and released in December 1997. Directed by James Cameron, the film became a defining cultural and commercial event of its era, ultimately winning eleven Academy Awards including Best Picture. Its combination of practical scale, early digital effects, and period detail set a new standard for large-scale historical filmmaking and cemented its place as one of the most significant productions of the 1990s.

This cell, titled Titanic Wreck, captures three consecutive 35mm frames from what appears to be a third-class interior sequence. The first frame is a dark transitional shot, likely depicting the ship exterior. Frames two and three show passengers gathered beneath structural beams in warm ambient light, with Tommy Ryan, played by Jason Barry, identified among the figures present in both interior frames.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
