Titanic was produced by Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox and released in December 1997. Directed by James Cameron, the film became a defining cultural moment of its era, blending a fictional romance with the historical 1912 maritime disaster. It swept the Academy Awards with eleven wins, including Best Picture, and held the record as the highest-grossing film of all time for over a decade.
