Titanic was produced by Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox and released in December 1997. Directed by James Cameron, the film became a defining cultural event of its era, winning eleven Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director. Its combination of practical effects, period detail, and romantic storytelling made it the highest-grossing film of its time, and its 35mm prints represent some of the most technically ambitious photography of the decade.
This cell, titled Jack Dawson and Danny Nucci, captures Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson alongside Danny Nucci as Fabrizio De Rossi in what appears to be an early, energetic moment aboard the ship. The two friends are seen on deck, likely near rigging, in a scene that reflects the freedom and optimism their characters share at the voyage's outset. Three consecutive frames from the same shot are preserved here.
