Titanic was produced by Paramount Pictures and Twentieth Century Fox and released in December 1997. Directed by James Cameron, it became the highest-grossing film of its time and won eleven Academy Awards, including Best Picture. The production was a landmark in both practical and digital filmmaking, and the film remains one of the most culturally significant releases of the 1990s.
