Universal Pictures released E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial in June 1982 under Steven Spielberg's direction, becoming the highest-grossing film of its decade and a defining work of American cinema. Produced during a period when the blockbuster era was reshaping Hollywood, the film balanced intimate family drama with science fiction wonder, earning four Academy Awards and leaving a permanent mark on popular culture.

This three-frame cell, titled Elliott, captures a close-up sequence of the young boy's face illuminated by a strong overhead light source, photographed from a low angle against warm interior tones.
