Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, representing one of the studio's most ambitious late-era traditionally animated productions. A bold reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel transplanted into a science-fiction setting, the film blended hand-drawn character animation with extensive CGI environments. Though its theatrical run proved modest, it has earned considerable reappraisal over the years for its visual invention and emotional depth, standing as a distinctive artifact of Disney animation at a transitional moment in the medium's history.

This cell captures Jim Hawkins aboard a vessel interior, seen from behind and in partial profile across three consecutive frames.
