Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, representing one of the studio's most ambitious productions of the era. A reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel transplanted into a science-fiction setting, the film blended traditional hand-drawn animation with early CG integration at a pivotal moment in the industry's transition between techniques. Though a commercial disappointment on release, it has since earned genuine appreciation for its visual invention and emotional sincerity.

This cell, titled Jim, Silver and B.E.N., captures a dramatic sequence on rocky terrain where shifting light transforms the scene from shadow to brilliant golden illumination. Jim Hawkins, Long John Silver, and the amnesiac robot B.E.N. are visible across the frames, the progression of light lending the moment a charged, cinematic weight that reflects the film's distinctive visual ambition.
