Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Animation Studios, representing one of the studio's most ambitious reimaginings of a literary classic. Robert Louis Stevenson's seafaring adventure was transposed into a sprawling science fiction universe, blending traditional hand-drawn character animation with pioneering CGI environments. Though it performed modestly at the box office, the film has earned genuine appreciation over the decades for its visual invention and its emotionally grounded portrait of adolescent restlessness.

This cell captures Jim Hawkins in the film's early aerial sequence, tumbling through clouds alongside the RLS Legacy as the voyage begins. Across the three frames, his body moves from freefall into a reaching gesture, arm extending outward against the rushing sky, the great ship filling the background behind him. It is a kinetic, character-defining moment preserved in original 35mm.
