Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, representing the studio's ambitious reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel transplanted into a retro-futuristic space setting. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the film blended traditional hand-drawn animation with early CG integration at a pivotal and uncertain moment for the medium. Though it underperformed theatrically, it has since earned a devoted following for its visual inventiveness and genuine emotional depth.

This three-frame sequence captures consecutive moments from an overhead shot of the RLS Legacy under full sail, her billowing canvas and rigging rendered in striking detail against a rocky planetary surface below. The consistent framing across all three cells reflects the sustained choreography the animators brought to the ship's grand presence throughout the film.
