Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, representing the studio's ambitious attempt to transpose Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure novel into a science-fantasy setting. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the film blended traditional hand-drawn character animation with extensive CGI environments, a technically demanding production that pushed the boundaries of the Disney Renaissance era even as that era was drawing to a close.

This cell, titled RLS Legacy by the operator, captures three consecutive frames from a wide establishing shot of the solar galleon sailing against a dense nebula field. The rigging and full sails read clearly across all three frames, with the cosmic particle backdrop providing strong visual depth. A dark circular shadow partially obscures the third frame, consistent with a light panel artifact rather than the original photography.
