Treasure Planet was released by Walt Disney Feature Animation in November 2002, representing one of the studio's most ambitious productions of the era — a science-fiction reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel rendered through a distinctive blend of traditional hand-drawn animation and pioneering CGI environments. The film arrived during a transitional period for Disney animation and has since earned a devoted following for its visual ambition and emotional sincerity.
