Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Feature Animation, a bold reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel transposed to a science-fiction setting. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the film represented one of the final major productions to blend traditional hand-drawn animation with extensive CGI enhancement. Though a commercial disappointment on release, it has since earned considerable appreciation for its ambitious visual design and emotionally grounded storytelling.

This cell captures Jim Hawkins in a moment of quiet vulnerability, reclining against what appears to be the richly patterned interior of the RLS Legacy. The ornate red honeycomb background frames the young protagonist in repose, the subtle progression across the three frames preserving a fleeting beat of his inner emotional life as rendered by Disney's animators.
