Treasure Planet was released by Walt Disney Feature Animation in November 2002, representing one of the studio's most ambitious productions of the era. A science-fiction reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, the film blended traditional hand-drawn animation with pioneering CGI environments. Though it underperformed commercially, it has since earned a devoted following for its striking visual design and emotional depth, and is now regarded as an underappreciated chapter in Disney's legacy.
