Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Animation Studios, a bold reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel transplanted into a retro-futurist cosmos. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, the film blended traditional hand-drawn character animation with sweeping CG environments at a pivotal and technically ambitious moment in the studio's history. Though its theatrical run was modest, it has earned a devoted following drawn to its visual invention and emotional sincerity.

This cell captures Jim Hawkins in a sequence of tense, shadow-wrapped moments as he conceals and guards the luminous golden map sphere. Three frames follow him crouching, leaning forward, and finally filling the image in close-up, wide-eyed and alert — a quiet portrait of the film's restless, guarded protagonist at the story's turning point.
