Treasure Planet arrived in November 2002 from Walt Disney Animation Studios, representing one of the studio's most ambitious reimaginings of a literary classic. Adapting Robert Louis Stevenson's novel into a science-fiction setting, the film blended traditional hand-drawn character animation with computer-generated environments. Directed by Ron Clements and John Musker, it carried genuine craft and visual invention even as it struggled commercially, making surviving production materials from this period particularly meaningful to animation collectors.

This cell, titled Jim and Morph, captures Jim Hawkins in a repeated upward-looking pose with hand raised across sequential frames, suggesting a moment of reach or wonder.
