Treasure Planet was released by Walt Disney Feature Animation in November 2002, representing one of the studio's most ambitious productions of the era. A science-fiction reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel, the film combined traditional hand-drawn character animation with extensive CGI environments. Though a commercial disappointment upon release, it has earned considerable reassessment over the years for its visual inventiveness and emotional depth.

This cell, titled Jim Hawkins on the RLS Legacy, captures a low-angle sequence looking up through the mast and rigging of the solar galleon against open sky. Jim Hawkins appears among the spars and sails across three near-continuous frames, preserving a quiet moment of freedom and movement central to the character's arc.
